Why pipe cleaners

 

I have been using Pipe cleaners ever since the age of four, Fortunately or unfortunately I did not have much access to toys as a child. The people who raised me would give us pipe cleaners, then they would tell us to play with them. My older brothers already spent many years making toys out of pipe cleaners, I thought they were so cool. I could make any toy I wanted! I didn’t know I found my calling, but I felt safe every time I made a piece. Those were the only times I would feel safe! 

 

I was born in the “The United Nation of Islam” , a cult based on the Muslim faith. My father “Royall Jenkins” founded the cult calling himself “ The New Allah”. It gave my siblings, me, and thousands of people something to look up to. Unfortunately when I was born labeled “ The King Of Snakes”, for as long as i can remember i was treated like a devil. Being his child I already had thousands of eyes on me, now they were all hateful. My art was all I had, I would wake up to work 12+ hour days as a ten year old. I would get home and work on my art, I worked until my hands started bleeding. I spent 20 years teaching myself how to make the perfect creature, dreaming that one day I will have my own cartoon.
